Delegates (Youth)
To apply to become an Wisconsin 4-H delegate to Costa Rica, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Romania, Argentina or Norway in Summer 2022, download and complete all portions of this application:

Terms and Conditions for Outbound Participants
The completed application includes:
- Completed online application
- Letter of Reference from your school (teacher, principal, etc.)
- Letter of Reference from your community (4-H leader, civic leader, employer, etc.)
- We strongly recommend using a 4-H leader or your county educator for a reference if possible. Regardless, we ask that delegates reach out to their county 4-H office during the application process so the county educator can provide appropriate support and resources.
- Delegate Interview – contact us to set-up an interview!
- Program Fee of $250 (payable to University of Wisconsin Extension)
- Program deposit (amount varies by program; payable to States 4-H International Exchange Programs)
- $2,000 for Japan 8-week, $1,500 for Japan 4-week, South
Korea, Norway, Taiwan, Romania and $1,000 for Costa Rica
and Argentina
- $2,000 for Japan 8-week, $1,500 for Japan 4-week, South
Items due by March 15:
- Second payment due
- $2,000 for Japan 8-week, $1,500 for Japan 4-week, South
Korea, Norway, Taiwan, Romania and $1,000 for Costa Rica
and Argentina
- $2,000 for Japan 8-week, $1,500 for Japan 4-week, South
- Medical Form and passport copy due
Items due by May 1:
- Remaining payment due

Adult Advisors (Chaperones)
To apply to become an Adult Advisor for a 4-H youth delegation to Costa Rica, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Romania, Argentina, or Norway in Summer 2022, download and complete all portions of this application:

- Completed online application
- Chaperone Background Check disclosure form
- Chaperone Interview Report (contact us to set-up an interview)
- Two Letters of Reference from your community
- Confidential Statement from your 4-H Youth Development Agent
- Partial Program Fee of $300 (payable to States’ 4-H International )
Items due by March 15:
- Balance of program fees due (varies by program)
- Medical Form and Passport Copy due
