The Wisconsin 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl is back for 2025! 

The 2025 contest will be held on January 25, 2025. It will be held at UW Green Bay in the STEM Innovation Building, 2019 Technology Way, Green Bay, WI 54311.

The Dairy Bowl is a “quiz bowl” competition where all questions deal with dairy topics. Competition in the 4-H Dairy Bowl encourages a 4-H member to develop a more complete knowledge of dairy animals and related subjects. This contest provides an educational dairy program for all dairy project members, including those who may not own a dairy project animal, and provides a way to develop alertness, self-confidence, teamwork skills, and mastery in the area of dairy science.

Teams of four members compete with each other in giving oral answers to questions posed by a moderator. Teams receive points for correct answers and may lose points for incorrect answers. The team with the highest final score is the winner.

Teams are divided into three age divisions and teams can consist of 3 or 4 members.

• The junior division is youth who are under 14 years of age as of Jan. 1 of the year of competition.
• The senior division is youth who are all 14 years of age or older as of Jan. 1, of the year of competition – please note Sr. team members cannot exceed grade 12, regardless of age.
• Grade 13 Members – WI 4-H members that are in the 13th grade are not eligible to compete at this state contest on senior teams. They can compete as members of a mixed team.
• A mixed team must contain at least one youth from both the junior and senior age divisions.

The contest is organized on a double-elimination basis with winning teams advancing into further rounds until a champion team emerges.

11-11:30 AM: Registration Opens

11:45 AM: Review Welcome Speech with all teams

BY 12 PM: Begin rooms

• We ask that teams eat lunch prior to coming to the contest – lunch will not be provided this year. each team should bring their own snacks, beverages, and chairs.
