From organizing finances to learning about savings, risk management, and consumer breadcrumbs, the My Financial Future curriculum helps middle and high school youth develop critical skills and knowledge in money management. Participants learn about financial literacy concepts through case studies and real-life scenarios. Additional concepts covered include career planning, setting up SMART goals, managing financial records, creating spending and savings plans, choosing payment methods, and managing credit.
- Discover the E-Scene, Level 1— Youth will learn about entrepreneurship by investigating businesses in their communities. They will discover the traits of an entrepreneur and take a skills test to see if they have these entrepreneurial traits.
- The Case of ME, Level 2—Youth will explore the core values of their business and learn how to give back to the community.
- Your Business Inspection, Level 3—Youth learn the “nuts and bolts” of starting a business. They create a Business Plan and plan a marketing strategy. They also use the internet to promote their product or service to reach a broader audience
- Leader’s Guide—The guide describes the activity, provides answers to questions, provides a list of supplies needed for each activity, shows the National and State Education Standards, and describes the success indicator for each lesson.
- Camp Guide—This is a compilation of activities from the ESI Unit 1 with Strengths, Unit 2 and Unit 3 books. It combines the “most often used” camp activities into one book to save you time and dollars for your camp experiences. This product includes the Clifton Strengths Explorer, an assessment tool to help identify youths’ talents.
