The two activities in this series help youth recognize the differences between two types of ducks—dabblers and divers—and wing types for better identification.
Audience: Youth in grades 6 or higher
- Dabbler or Diver—Do you know the difference between the two types of ducks? This activity shares what those differences are and how to observe these ducks in their environment. This activity is in a game show format that youth will find very interesting.
- Duck Wing ID—This activity explores Dabbling Ducks. These ducks have colored wing patches that help make them easy to identify. Using a jigsaw puzzle method, youth will learn how to identify these ducks with the aid of a Duck ID Fact Sheet.
