Youth will be consumers all their lives. Savvy consumers are people who know what they need
and want and are able to make wise use of their money and other resources to reach those goals. The activities in this activity guide will help youth become skilled consumers. They will practice life skills, including wise use of resources, goal setting, and sharing with others
- Consumer Savvy, Level 1—Youth will experience what it means to be a consumer through saving, spending and sharing.
- Consumer Savvy, Level 2—Youth will practice decision making, learn about advertising, and understand how to be a smart shopper online.
- Consumer Savvy, Level 3—Youth will experience what it means to be a consumer through saving, spending, and sharing.
- Consumer Savvy Helper’s Guide—This guide provides supplemental materials to help volunteers facilitate learning situations for youth of various ages. Numerous group activities are included to help youth develop essential life skills as they pursue an interest in consumer education.
