The Capturing Your Environment (CYE) Framework is an opportunity for youth to engage with, explore, and describe their experiences with the natural environment, wherever they are. Youth learn about topics such as microclimates, transects, and urban heat islands, exploring them through their senses as well as technology with DOTS (Digital Observation Technology Skills). Then, using what they learned, youth are encouraged to design solutions to support both humans and the environment.

Audience: Grades 3-8
