On March 13th, Lucy Johnson, from the Evansville 4-H club in Rock County, had the opportunity to play her violin at the Spark Celebration Conference in Washington DC. The event aimed to honor exceptional 4-H’ers and demonstrate appreciation for the time they devote to their craft. Out of numerous talents, Lucy was chosen as one of the four performers.
Feeling deeply honored, Lucy prepared three songs for her performance. Since the age of four, she has dedicated countless hours to perfecting her violin skills. Lucy attributes her confidence on stage to her formative involvement in 4-H. Her time in Washington proved to be an eye-opening experience, revealing the remarkable achievements of her fellow 4-H members on a national scale. Beyond her performance, Lucy found joy in forming new friendships with other 4-H members selected to perform.”
