Kayla Oberstadt–We welcome Dan Brandt to the University of Wisconsin Madison-Division of Extension in Iowa County as a 4-H Program Educator. Let’s get to know Dan!
“I am very excited to be joining Iowa County Extension and the 4-H Team! I have worked with kids and young adults for many years. I recently taught Government, Geography, and World History at the Middle School level and High School Psychology and Sociology. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2013 with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture, Political Science, and Education. I have previously worked in Extension as the Iowa County Horticulture Intern for the summers of 2007, 2008, and 2009.
While working with Extension I decided I really enjoyed working with young adults and children and switched my degree two weeks before graduation to Education. When the Iowa County 4-H Youth Development Educator role opened, I knew I had to apply as I have always wanted to work in Extension and bring the values and education right to the youth of Iowa County. In my free time, I also run a small craft store business.”
Dan started at the Iowa County Extension office in Dodgeville on March 27 and can be reached by email at dan.brandt@wisc.edu.
