Group Decision Making Corner

This is a corner of the newsletter to offer suggestions and tips for leading your club and project meetings. From Parliamentary Procedure Practices to tips about how to engage your members at your next meeting. I hope you enjoy these and please let me know how these suggestions work for you!

One way to ensure that even some of your “quieter” members get a chance to share is to use the THINK-PAIR-SHARE strategy. Here’s how . . . Prompt the group to think, on their own, about (and write down) their response to the question. When prompted, have them find a partner and share their thoughts with them. When prompted again, have each pair find another pair and share the ideas within a group of four. Ex: What activities would you like to do for our winter party? What would you like the theme for our silent auction basket to be?
