Green Lake County 4-H Ambassadors recently served their community by educating local kindergarteners about recycling. The Ambassadors developed and delivered a recycling program to eight classrooms and 150 students at Markesan Elementary School and Clay Lamberton Elementary School in Berlin.
First, ambassadors read the book “Michael Recycle” about a young superhero who has the power to teach people about recycling. The group then demonstrated what can and cannot be recycled. They topped off the experiential learning activity with a game that allowed kindergarteners to test their recycling knowledge.
