Marilyn Suprise

Manitowoc County 4-H Volunteer

Marilyn has quietly served in the Manitowoc County 4-H Community Club program for the past 30 years, providing leadership and program support at a level comparable to a paid staff member.

She became involved when her children were 4-H members, serving as a Project Leader and then the Main Leader of Meeme Busy Badgers 4-H Club. This grew into county leadership roles on the Manitowoc County 4-H Leader Board and serving on various committees. Marilyn is known for her work on the Plat Book Committee, Promotions Committee, and the Newsletter Committee. Raising over $100,000 for county 4-H Youth Development through five plat book sale campaigns is largely due to Marilyn’s hard work and attention to detail in recruiting advertisers, design of cover and ads, map proofing, creating 40-page recreation section, and sale site responsibility.

Marilyn has received the county’s Meritorious Service to 4-H Award and the State Leadership Award. She is a hard-working and dedicated volunteer whose selfless giving of time and energy has supported thousands of 4-H youth over the years.
