Jefferson County 4-H Volunteer
Sharon grew up in the 4-H program, where she learned the important role 4-H can play in the development of youth. As a 4-H leader, she used her experience as an educator to begin the Natural Science program. She helped introduce target shooting and marksmanship skills as important shooting sports disciplines. One of her goals was to relay the relationship between shooting sports and wildlife management.
Sharon also gives her time as a Sunday school teacher, Master Gardener, member of Friends of Rose Lake, member of Rock River Valley Geological Society, and County Fair Superintendent of Natural Resources. Her favorite volunteering memory is “the joys you see in children of all ages as they learn and experience the earth’s many wonders.”
