Romelle Bymers

Wood County 4-H Volunteer

Romelle leaves a green print on all people and places she comes in contact with. She has helped hundreds of 4-H’ers grow through the Wood County 4-H program. Her influence as a project leader has spanned 38 years, which includes 22 as the Organizational Leader of the Webster 4-H club.

In 1987, Romelle served on the Wisconsin 4-H Adult Leader Council for six years, acting as recording secretary for two terms. This led to her role as the Advisor to the Wisconsin Youth Leader Council (YLC), a role she continues to this day.

Romelle served as the Wood County Awards and Recognition committee chair for many years and encouraged hundreds of youth to apply. She is currently updating the 2014 Wood County Historian Book and has put together historian books for Wood County 4-H since the early 1990s, to ensure the history is being preserved.

Romelle was recognized by the Wisconsin Association of 4-H Youth Development Professionals with a Meritorious Service award and named the 2011 North Central Region 4-H Salute to Excellence Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer.
