Hello everyone! My name is Erin Sabo, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new Langlade County 4-H Educator. I’m excited to be joining this incredible program and can’t wait to see what’s ahead for all of us!
I grew up in North Branch, Minnesota, where I was actively involved in 4-H, and it was through this program that I discovered my passion for youth development and leadership. This led me to South Dakota State University, where I earned my degree in Agriculture Leadership, with minors in Human Development & Family Studies, Leadership & Management of Nonprofit Organizations, and Agriculture Business.
After graduation, I moved to Merrill, Wisconsin with my fiancé and started my journey with Marathon County 4-H as an AmeriCorps member. Over the course of a year, I helped lead summer programs, ran afterschool activities, and supported travel experiences and camps. This October, I was fortunate enough to move into the Associate 4-H Educator role before now transitioning into the Langlade County position.
When I’m not working, I love spending time outdoors—whether it’s camping, fishing, or hunting. I also enjoy traveling, playing fetch with our two puppies, Mable (a red lab) and Dixie (a German Shorthair Pointer), and, of course, I’m currently deep in the excitement of wedding planning!
I’m really looking forward to meeting all of you, building strong relationships, and working together to strengthen and grow the 4-H community!
