Register now for this year’s Restorative Justice Summit. The 2022 theme is Healing Ourselves and Connecting to our Communities.
The Restorative Justice Summit is sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension Community Youth Development Program and the Wisconsin Teen Court Association. It was made possible with a grant in part from the Wisconsin Law Foundation.
Last year we focused on self reflection and connection to heal from trauma and mend relationship with self. Here are what some of our participants from last year said:
“Being involved in restorative justice programs has made me think a lot more about why people do the things they do. I have been more empathetic when people do something wrong because I have learned to be more aware of their reasons.” – Youth in a Wisconsin teen court program
“We have had leaders in different schools who have taught students how to lead restorative justice circles and who do an amazing job. And who can also sit in when two students have a disagreement or even a fight. And there is some mediation needed, they have been able to come help them reach an agreement and to allow for each other to be without threat or hostility. I have met students who are very much interested in the restorative justice process.” – School district social worker.
This year we are excited to connect and learn in person! Join us! Scholarships are available.
